PASIR BERBISIK

Some pictures I took when I visited Gumuk Pasir Parangkusumo (Parangkusumo Sand Dunes), one of two deserts in Java Island last January. Located in Yogyakarta Province in Indonesia, this desert is also known as Pasir Berbisik (literally means Whispering Sands) because you can hear it making whispering sounds when the wind blows.
