So, if you did grow this year, would say that you've"changed"? And would you consider yourself then a different person?

S: "Hm. If I look back I know for sure that this year a lot of things did change, especially things within; perspectives were shifted, old values were replaced, deep-held beliefs were challenged, convictions were tested and renewed. "

What about you, Carol?

C: "Ah both yes and no. Honestly I started out having a basic grid of what "growth" meant, expecting difficulties and challenges here and there. "

C: "But as wounds were revealed, as walls started falling apart, I thought I was "going backwards". But amidst all of that rawness, I got a deeper understanding of words that were just concepts to me in the past. 'Growth' would be one of them. ('Suffering', and 'Hope' would be two other words included.) So I'll say I've changed in matters of beliefs I held onto, empty-treasures I treasured, a deeper understanding of myself and others. And I am still changing. I am a different person, but at the same time, the past me is still part of the testimony of who I am today."

This is part of two of a 2-part spontaneous collaborative project between Stella and Carol. Last year was a year of tremendous growth for both us, of which going back to the basic was proven to be crucial in order to move on to the next level of growth. Having bestowed the chance to walk the growth process together, we decided to close the year off by pouring months of discussions sharing, exchanging ideas, values, and beliefs into this collaboration. Although this project (pictures, writings) is our personal interpretation of their own growth stages, we would like to invite our viewers, (yes, you!) to personalise the project - by evaluating your own growth as you reflect on these growth-related questions yourselves.
Enjoy!
