AMOR MIO

Last Wednesday, my friend and I went to a cafe called Amor Mio (아모르미오) near Seoul National University. The name itself means My Love in Spanish.

It was serene and comfy, the baked goods and drinks were tasty as well. But the best part of the cafe is the they way they designed the interior of their cafe. You can see at the picture above that spot where the Baristas prepare the drinks and dessert is located at the centre of the cafe and the seats and sofas and tables are arranged around the bar. So instead of having to go near to the door to get your coffee and then make a trip all the way to your seats, the barista working spot is just within your rich.

Butterless scones and brownies

If you take a pause from whatever you're doing, you'll be able to hear the sound of coffee dripping and milk steaming, and even the quite conversations between the working baristas. Anndd, even though we pick a seat quite far from the barista working spot, I could still smell all the wonderful herbs and spices and also the cookies, breads and brownies' aroma from where we sat. Another plus point for this cafe, I love places that smell good!

A heaven-sent sign to conclude our quality time that day

I spent almost the entire first three weeks of my summer vacation going out to meet all kind of people I never thought I would meet in my life. It was a new experience, and I got to see life from so many perspectives! But still, I needed to recharge. And when I was finally able to have a long quality time to just sit and talk with a close friend, I thought to myself, "This is really what I needed."
